(4.7 stars; 369 reviews)

Bull Hunter was a man who could rip a tree trunk from the ground with his bare hands or tame the wildest stallion with his kind manner. But Pete Reeve didn't have the reputation of a dead shot because he relied on his common sense. Then Bull and Pete crossed paths, and townsfolk braced for the battle. Well done Richard Kilmer again. thanks.

Don't judge a book by its cover

Light hearted western of good VS evil. Don't ever assume someone is dumber than you are. The character is always thought of as slow witted due to his size and manners, but since our later he proves them wrong.

This was a very good book.

Great Story, left me with a smile!

Max Brand did well with developing both characters that one can love & despise. For the horse scenes it's like he looks into the mind & heart of these animals so you can almost feel what they feel. Also, another great reading by a narrator that never disappoints!

Reader worth getting used to

Cute. Cute. Cute. I can't help it. I did picture Hoss. I enjoyed picturing this character bloom and his interaction with El Diablo. It would have been great if Bull could have changed it's name.

SPARKY

No romance in this story... the evolution of a “ misfit” makes this a special story I enjoyed... could not predict the ending... could have done without a thinking “talking” horse

a good listen

the reader was a great fit for the story. a nice story about nice a nice person. if you feel like listening to a gentle tale with an original story line this is the story for you.

A GREAT FEELGOOD NOVEL

All I could think of was what a great movie this would make with Dan Blocker. Just think-- "Hoss" playing "Bull" WOW
