The Big Show
von
The Big Show is a variety program hosted by Tallulah Bankhead, bringing together comedy, music, and guest appearances in a polished radio showcase. Its broad entertainment format moves among performers and styles rather than following a single continuing story.
The program features Jimmy Durante and Jack Carson, whose comic performances add contrasting personalities to the mix. Variety acts and musical numbers give the broadcast a lively, changing texture, with the host guiding listeners from one segment to the next.
With its blend of celebrity guests, humor, and music, The Big Show offers an expansive snapshot of early-1950s radio variety: theatrical, fast-moving, and built around the pleasure of hearing familiar performers share the same stage.
