Winston Churchill Speeches

Meeting with Von Ribbentrop

English · History, Politics

Winston Churchill’s speeches bring listeners into the political and diplomatic crises of his era through his own forceful public voice. This recording is identified with a meeting involving Joachim von Ribbentrop, the German diplomat who served as foreign minister under Adolf Hitler.

Churchill’s speeches are shaped by argument and occasion: he addresses an audience directly, setting out events and positions with deliberate emphasis. The result is a historical spoken document, best heard for its rhetoric and for the perspective it offers on a consequential encounter in European politics.
