CBS Radio Workshop
A Matter of Logic
CBS Radio Workshop was an experimental anthology series that brought radio drama, comedy, and documentary-style storytelling together under one banner. Each broadcast offered a self-contained program, with the subject and style changing from episode to episode rather than following a continuing cast of characters.
The series made room for original plays, adaptations, and imaginative treatments of real-world ideas. Sound effects, music, and ensemble performances helped create vivid scenes and shifts in mood, while the anthology format allowed each story to find its own shape. This episode is titled “A Matter of Logic.”
Listeners can expect a thoughtful, varied kind of radio entertainment: sometimes playful, sometimes serious, and often interested in what the medium could do beyond straightforward storytelling. The result is a program that rewards attention to both the spoken performances and the carefully constructed sound around them.
