The Alan Young Show

Alan the Fullback

English · Humor, Radio

The Alan Young Show stars Alan Young in a lighthearted comedy built around his warm, youthful comic persona. Young’s radio character is an amiable, somewhat awkward young man whose good intentions often lead him into amusing complications.

The program combines situation comedy with sketches and character-based humor, giving Young room to play both the central figure and other comic roles. Its stories draw on everyday relationships and mishaps, with dialogue and performance carrying the humor rather than elaborate sound effects or suspense.

Young’s gentle delivery gives the show an easygoing, personable tone. Listeners can expect classic radio comedy centered on an engaging lead performer and the small troubles that grow into comic situations.
