Hollywood's Open House
Trilby
von
Hollywood's Open House is a radio variety program built around the world of Hollywood entertainment. Its format brings together spoken performances and musical selections, offering a mix of dramatic and lighter material rather than a single continuous story.
The episode title, “Trilby,” suggests a literary or theatrical reference, while the program’s Hollywood setting gives the broadcast the character of a studio showcase. Listeners can expect an anthology-style presentation shaped by performance, with the appeal of hearing a story or theme interpreted for radio alongside the variety-program atmosphere.
The result is a snapshot of mid-century radio entertainment: a blend of storytelling and show-business presentation, suited to listeners interested in classic broadcasts and Hollywood-themed programming.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
