CBS Radio Workshop
All Is Bright
CBS Radio Workshop was an anthology program that brought radio drama and other imaginative productions to the air. Each installment offered a self-contained listening experience, with the subject and style changing from one program to the next.
“All Is Bright” is presented as a dated installment of the series. The title suggests a seasonal theme, while the anthology format places the focus on the individual production rather than on continuing characters or a single ongoing storyline.
The program’s appeal lies in hearing radio performers and sound bring a complete work to life: voices, music, and effects create atmosphere and guide the listener through the story. It offers a snapshot of CBS’s dramatic radio craft in a concise, theatrical form.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
