George Meany Labor Day Address
von
This CBS News recording features George Meany delivering a Labor Day address. Meany, a prominent labor leader, speaks on a subject closely tied to the holiday: the role and concerns of American workers.
The program offers a direct address rather than a dramatic story, placing the focus on Meany’s words and the issues he raises. Its appeal lies in hearing a contemporary public figure speak about labor in the context of the period.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
