Information Please is a lively radio quiz program built around questions from listeners and the quick-witted answers of its expert panel. The panelists draw on broad knowledge, sharp memories, and a taste for playful debate, while host Clifton Fadiman keeps the conversation moving with polished timing and dry humor.
Rather than a conventional dramatic story, the program turns curiosity into entertainment. Listeners’ questions range across subjects, and the panel’s responses mix serious expertise with jokes, wordplay, and friendly competition. The format leaves room for spontaneous exchanges as well as the satisfaction of hearing a difficult question solved.
The result is an urbane, conversational show: part quiz, part comedy, and part showcase for the pleasures of knowing—or confidently guessing—the answer. Moe Berg, the baseball player known for his intelligence and wide-ranging interests, is associated with this program entry.
