Kraft Music Hall

Al Jolson

English · Music, Humor, Radio

Kraft Music Hall is a variety program built around music and comedy, with Al Jolson as its featured performer in this broadcast. The show brings together popular songs and spoken entertainment in the relaxed, welcoming style of a classic radio variety hour.

Listeners can expect a mix of musical performance and comic material rather than a single continuous drama. Jolson’s energetic, expressive singing is the central attraction, giving the program a strong stage-show feel while the variety format allows room for lighter moments between songs.

The appeal lies in hearing a major popular entertainer in a live-radio setting, where music, personality, and comedy share the spotlight. It offers an inviting snapshot of mid-century American radio variety entertainment.
