Frontier Gentleman
Remittance Man (Audition)
von
Frontier Gentleman follows British journalist J. B. Kendall as he travels through the American West in the late nineteenth century, reporting on the people and events he encounters. John Dehner stars as Kendall, whose outsider’s perspective gives the series a distinctive way of observing frontier life.
Presented as a first-person radio adventure, the program combines Kendall’s dispatches with dramatic scenes, sound effects, and period atmosphere. Its stories range across the varied lives and conflicts of the West, from isolated settlements to encounters shaped by changing communities and customs.
The series balances adventure with thoughtful observation. Dehner’s measured narration anchors the action, while the dramatic performances bring each setting to life. This recording is identified as an audition for “Remittance Man.”
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
