Chesterfield Presents
Kenny Baker
von
Chesterfield Presents is a sponsored radio variety program, and this recording is identified with singer Kenny Baker. The title points to a broadcast built around popular entertainment rather than a single dramatic story.
Listeners can expect a period radio performance centered on music and vocal presentation. Baker was known as a singer and radio performer, bringing a polished, accessible style suited to the variety programs of his era.
The appeal is in hearing a named performer in the intimate, carefully presented sound of a live-era radio broadcast. Its musical focus offers a glimpse of the popular entertainment heard by radio audiences in the 1940s.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
