This is a great project. Tapes don't last forever and preservation of our past is important, This takes me back to going regularly to Saturday Morning Pictures at The Granada, a local cinema in Slough (my home town about 20 miles from London, England) during the 1950's. It was quite a tradition for youngsters , I think I was only about 5 or 6, It gave parents a breathing space I suppose. The Lone Ranger short films were a regular, along with Dan Dare etc. Finally, I know the origin of The Lone Ranger! My apologies to native Americans ; as children we were quite naïve and completely swallowed the myths. Years later , around 1970, I read Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee: An Indian History of the American West by Dee Brown and also saw Soldier Blue at the cinema, which opened my eyes.
Very cool
