Written and dramatised from his own novel, Crossing The River, by Caryl Phillips, Somewhere In England is a poignant story of love and race set in Yorkshire during the Second World War. When the US Army arrived in Britain during World War Two, it came in still-segregated units. This narrative explores the far-reaching consequences for both rebellious GI Travis Johnson and local shopkeeper, Joyce.

The cast includes Helen Longworth as Joyce, Rhashan Stone as Travis, and features performances by David Seddon, Jason Barnett, Karen Bartke, Luke MacGregor, John Bowler, Alison Belbin, Nicholas Murchie, and Keziah Joseph. The production was directed by Gaynor Macfarlane.
