Winston Churchill As Peacemaker

(5 étoiles; 6 critiques)

Winston Churchill is often seen as the quintessential warrior statesman, leading an empire through one of the darkest periods in British history. However, there was another side to Churchill, one that sought a lasting peace. His vision for peace, influenced by a Victorian conception of order, contained both anachronistic and forward-thinking elements.

In this program, James Muller discusses the lesser-known aspects of Churchill as a peacemaker. Muller, a Professor of Political Science at the University of Alaska at Anchorage, provides insights into Churchill's peaceful aspirations and the complexities of his legacy.
