everything in here is 1973 and previous which falls into the public domain of mlb radio broadcasts as far as i know these are all one file per game, properly tagged, named, and cleaned up from multi files the best i could please do not sell these on eBay, people have wanted these for a long time and they have not been available in a cleaned up format and they are a piece of baseball and meant to be shared with all freely. put them on an ipod or old cell phone and give them to an older loved one in your life, or donate one to a nursing home.

This is as good as it gets for me. I have not got access to any tv broadcasts here at home because they are only on pay per view tv. 5 years ago a TV station called channel 5 used to show a weekly game live and the world series for free. But this gives me a chance to catch up on all the old guys and their games. I suppose I like baseball because it's similar in a lot of ways to cricket - complex, and often baffling to the uninitiated. I am still learning . Thanks for this great slice of history. I can only dream of the next time baseball will be broadcast on TV over here but until then here are 100's of great games from the past.
You deserve an award for sharing these...

A friend of mine used to write for newspapers in DC, and he covered the Senators (among others). He and Ted Williams were friends, so he's got some photos of the two of them together that Ted had signed with some long inscriptions, taking a friendly poke at him. But I don't think my friend has any of the old Senators broadcasts. He'll like the ones I found here. Thank you!

I have been searching the web for years for complete games called by Ernie Harwell to give to my Dad. He has an old cassette tape of a game called by Ernie that he must have listened to a hundred times. In 1991 we sat in the bleachers in Tiger Stadium during Ernie's last game. We had an old radio and everyone in the bleachers turned around in their seat and just listened to Ernie as a silent protest against his firing. Thankfully, he was brought back when Mike Ilitch bought the Tigers. If you could only see my father weep when I play these for him. It's amazing what emotions baseball and voices can conjure. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Incredible! (revision)

Added on another device, as I need to go into more detail here: Some games are missing small parts, and the narrator telling you where it starts up again after a pause appears to think half-innings are called "sides," which is slightly irritating but really not all that bad. These recordings are very high quality, and the only background noise you hear is background noise from the ballpark where it was actually broadcasted from. I can't believe somebody actually undertook this project, getting all of these recordings onto LibriVox, I am most grateful to whoever did it! Thank you so, so, SO much!

As a fan of old-timey baseball (aka baseball where people don’t strike out 200 times in a season), I really enjoyed this. I wish the World Series broadcasts had each game in the Series, as they don’t seem to (they will reliably have the best games and/or game seven, however). I can’t describe how fun it is to listen to the old greats, like Ted Williams, Willie Mays, Sandy Koufax… This is, simply, an outstanding collection of vintage games which I would recommend to all baseball fans who want a taste of the old times!

Amazing!! Thank you for this amazing gift of complete baseball games from 1934 forward. I grew up listening to these great broadcasts and you have done an incredible service for the public at large kudos the staff at archive.org! These cleaned up versions will draw you into another time and place as you reminisce and enjoy these great names from different eras. ENJOY to all! Archive.org, Thanks ever so much for all you do and the hours of listening enjoyment. I’ll never have insomnia again!
Any more ganes in the archives?

Have really enjoyed listening the nearly 40 years of radio broadcasts from the 1934 all star game , right through the world series of 1973. Am surprised about some of these were there are two or 3 versions of the same broadcasts. Which only number a small amount. Just wondering if there any more in the archives ?, which can be released later.

For baseball fans of bygone era's, this is one of the best uploads you will ever find. So many classic games, famous names, teams that no longer exist and many of the best baseball announcers who ever called a play. All I can say is "enjoy". This is as good as it gets.
