Martyn Wade Another Shakespeare


Another Shakespeare is a comedy by Martyn Wade, based on the real-life story of an 18th-century forger. In order to convince his father of his literary skills, the forger provides him with a number of Shakespearean documents, including an exciting new and undiscovered play.

The cast includes James Grout as Mr. Ireland, Julian Rhind-Tutt as William-Henry, Tessa Worsley as Mrs. Freeman, Gavin Muir as Dr. Warton/Sheridan, Andrew Wincott as Dr. Parr/Bensley, and Roger Walker as Kemble/Boswell. Directed by Cherry Cookson, this play was first broadcast on Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at 14:15 on BBC Radio 4 FM.
