Random Reminiscences of Men and Events offers a unique glimpse into the life and thoughts of John D. Rockefeller, one of the most influential figures in American history. In this reflective memoir, Rockefeller shares his experiences and insights gained throughout his remarkable journey as a business magnate and philanthropist.

Written in 1909, this work captures the essence of Rockefeller's philosophy on work, success, and the importance of personal integrity. Through anecdotes and reflections, he provides a window into the mindset of a man who played a pivotal role in shaping the oil industry and, by extension, the modern economy.

Rockefeller's narrative is not just a recounting of events; it is a meditation on the values that guided him. His emphasis on hard work, balance, and gratitude resonates throughout the text, making it a source of inspiration for those seeking wisdom from a life well-lived.

A New Perspective on JD Rockefeller

(5 estrellas)

anytime in the past I've heard someone talk about trying to Rockefeller, he's always been described as someone who only thought of money of someone who might be rather selfish and as unkind and uncaring this volume depicts a much more human View. certainly comma since it's an autobiography, it's his View. but I think we would all do well to forget some of the things we've talked been taught no history glasses and read the history as it was written buy those who actually lived it.

great book for business & heart

it's so rare to hear someone talk about helping others through good business. unfortunately most often people are will to either give alot (which ends up be a great percentage of there money, but a small amount), or give a small portion of their income for tax purposes (which although contributions the greatest portion of money to the cause, is not done for the best reasons); this has been my experience anyway. with that said and again, it was rare, refreshing, and challenging to hear someone talk about business and charity. also, I always enjoy rearing the personal thoughts of great people on any subject.

Through this book we get a chance to hear John D Rockefeller's side of some of the controversies that surrounded him. Very lucidly written. Loved your reading, Mr. Tomcho!
