A hidden treasure!

(5 stars)

I had never heard of this book prior to listening to it. What a beautiful hidden treasure! Such a well written story. If I had had the book in my hand, I would have clasped it to my chest and smiled as I finished the last page. Only wish the same volunteer had read the book from beginning to end. The changing voices made the story difficult to follow at times.

Excellent!

At first I thought it would be a Taming of the Shrew kind of story, but the plot is cleverer and funnier. If you don't like what passes for romance novels nowadays, you can enjoy this.

Very distracting to have varied readers!!!!! I love this old book, and for this reason hung in there when it changed from Leo Smalley.

Story that nourishes the heart

This story did me good. And though it can be distracting when readers change because you get used to how one emphasizes a character's words and then the next does it differently, I thought all the readers were good. I appreciate them very much foe making this story available.

Sweet Tale

(4.5 stars)

This is a charming book about two souls who get much more than they bargained for when they marry as a “business arrangement”. I love the chapters when they slowly, but sweetly, begin falling in love.

Suspicious Serendipity Shift to Secure Sublimity

yes, you already know the ending from the title. It's the journey that makes you laugh, cry, and at times SMACK a certain character or two! Jan, 2020
