Sidelights on Relativity offers a unique glimpse into the mind of one of history's greatest scientific thinkers, Albert Einstein. This collection features two significant addresses that delve into the intricacies of his groundbreaking theories on relativity, making complex ideas accessible to a broader audience.

In the first address, "Ether and the Theory of Relativity," delivered at the University of Leyden, Einstein explores the role of ether in the context of his revolutionary ideas. The second address, "Geometry and Experience," expands on his thoughts presented to the Prussian Academy of Sciences, examining the relationship between geometry and our understanding of the physical world.

Through these lectures, listeners will gain insight into the philosophical implications of relativity and the evolution of scientific thought in the early 20th century. Einstein's clear explanations and engaging style invite both enthusiasts and newcomers to appreciate the profound impact of his work on modern physics.

Who knew what a wonderful speaker our hero of modern science was? These presentations are extremely well written and comprehensible to normal people. I now understand why Einstein was a folk hero of his time. Our narrator is also a treat! What a fine voice, charm, and spirit he brings to these fine words! If you're looking for an intro to Einstein's work or person, this short read is a great place to start.
