this text, despite its olde English style, has helped and sustained me in trusting God when it seems there is no hope. the preface is most instructive. it explains his reasons for writing such a book is to prove God to be trustworthy, even when there is no earthly help. may it do you much good as it has done me. jamie. 2013

George gives us insight into the POWER OF PRAYER and how prayer is based on KNOWING the Lord. The testimonies are not fiction but based on his life of integrity and prayer. The listener will be charged and encouraged on discovering what prayer actually is and how it is actually used. I'm only a third of the way thru part 2 of ch1 and I am already extremely encouraged by Mr. Müller's testimony! I don't know if he really knew just how far reaching his influence would be. Praise God that He made it happen, that Müller trusted Him, and that the documents survive for us to benefit from it today. Thank you, David Barnes for an excellent recording of so important a work.
