Beverly Of Graustark
George Barr Mccutcheon
Read by LibriVox Volunteers
Beverly of Graustark invites listeners into a world of political intrigue and romance, set against the backdrop of the fictional European principality of Graustark. This second installment in the Graustark series follows Lorry and his wife, the princess, as they navigate their lives between Washington and the enchanting landscapes of Edelweiss.
As the couple enjoys their time in the United States, the affairs of Graustark are managed by Count Caspar Halfont, a stern diplomat and the princess's uncle. Meanwhile, tensions rise in the neighboring principality of Axphain, where Princess Volga serves as regent, and the fate of the deposed Prince Gabriel hangs in the balance, imprisoned for the assassination of Prince Lorenz.
With themes of loyalty, power, and the complexities of love, Beverly of Graustark weaves a tale that explores the intersections of personal and political stakes. McCutcheon's storytelling combines elements of mystery and romance, making this a distinctive entry in early 20th-century fiction.

Reviews
Good book one bad reader
Sam
Again, what an amazing book, and yet how is it ruined by that one reader Lucy Burgoyne! She should be banned from reading any interesting books on LibriVox. All the other readers did a great job.
