The European War Crisis
by
Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt's Own Program features Eleanor Roosevelt speaking directly to listeners about public affairs and issues of concern to the nation. This broadcast, titled “The European War Crisis,” places the program in the context of the unfolding conflict in Europe.
Presented as a radio address rather than a dramatic story, the program offers a chance to hear Roosevelt's own perspective and manner of speaking. Its appeal lies in the immediacy of a contemporary voice addressing a major international crisis, with the focus on commentary and reflection.
