Golden Days of Radio
Dick Haymes and the Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet
by
Golden Days of Radio presents vintage radio programs for listeners who enjoy the voices and sounds of broadcasting’s earlier years. This installment features Dick Haymes and The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, bringing together a popular singer and a familiar radio family.
Haymes is known for his smooth, warm vocal style, while Ozzie and Harriet Nelson’s program centers on family life and the everyday situations of the Nelson household. The contrast offers a glimpse of two different kinds of radio entertainment: musical performance and domestic comedy.
With its mix of song and family-centered storytelling, this program offers an inviting sample of classic radio’s variety and personality.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
