Stars for Defense

Nobody but Me

English · Dramatic Readings, War & Military Fiction

Stars for Defense is a dramatic radio program built around stories of military life and national defense. Its title suggests a series presenting dramatic material in a defense-oriented setting, offering listeners a glimpse of the people and situations connected with that world.

This entry is titled “Nobody but Me.” The program’s dramatic format centers the listening experience on spoken performance and storytelling rather than a single narrator reading prose. The episode title gives the story a personal focus, while the series framing places it within the broader subject of defense.

The result is a compact piece of radio drama, suited to listeners interested in mid-century military-themed broadcasting and the way radio used character and dialogue to bring its subjects to life.
