The Frank Sinatra Program
I'm an Old Cowhand
by
The Frank Sinatra Program features Frank Sinatra in a radio variety setting, bringing together his singing with spoken entertainment. Sinatra’s relaxed, distinctive vocal style is at the center of the listening experience, with popular songs presented alongside the program’s other material.
This recording is associated with “I’m an Old Cowhand,” a song that gives the program a light, Western-flavored touch. The appeal lies in hearing Sinatra perform for radio, where music and personality share the spotlight rather than being presented as a concert alone.
For listeners interested in Sinatra’s early radio work, the program offers a glimpse of his broadcast-era performance style and the easygoing variety format surrounding his songs.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
