scientific progress

Civilization has progressed tremendously since this was written. The old white male authors talk a lot about atoms, conservation of energy, and a bunch of other problematic heteronormative gobblidygook. Today's 'Scientific american' no longer talks about these silly topics, and instead focuses on the role that reactionary gender roles play in causing anthropogenic global climate instability. Thank the goddess we are no longer trapped in a heteronormative power structure that minimizes that roll urban interpretive dance plays in advancing STEM
