Dr. Christian
The Fugitive
by
Dr. Christian is a warm-hearted radio drama centered on Dr. Paul Christian, a small-town physician whose medical work brings him into close contact with the people of River’s End. He treats illness and injury, but his concern extends to the worries, conflicts, and choices shaping his patients’ lives.
The program blends medical cases with human-interest storytelling. Episodes follow Dr. Christian as he listens, asks questions, and helps people face difficult circumstances, often drawing on the trust he has built within the community. The stories are presented as dramatic radio scenes, with dialogue and sound creating the world of the town.
Gentle and earnest in tone, the series emphasizes compassion, practical wisdom, and the value of neighbors looking out for one another. Its appeal lies in the combination of a capable, reassuring central character and intimate stories about ordinary people confronting personal challenges.
