The Rest of the Story

Admiral Butterfly

English · History, Biography & Autobiography

Paul Harvey’s The Rest of the Story presents brief, carefully shaped accounts of people and events, often beginning with a familiar name or circumstance and then revealing an unexpected detail. In this installment, “Admiral Butterfly” is the story title.

Harvey’s distinctive delivery is central to the experience: measured, conversational narration builds curiosity as the story unfolds, then brings its pieces together in a concise closing reveal. The program blends historical and biographical storytelling with the feel of an intimate radio address, inviting listeners to reconsider what they thought they knew.

Warm, direct, and quietly suspenseful, the series is well suited to focused listening. Its appeal lies in the compact storytelling and in Harvey’s recognizable voice, which guides each account toward its final turn.
