Old Gold Comedy Theater
Hired Wife
par
Old Gold Comedy Theater presents radio adaptations of popular films, bringing Hollywood stories to listeners through dramatic performances and sound. The program’s format centers on a featured movie, reshaped for radio with dialogue, music, and sound effects.
“Hired Wife” is presented as one of the program’s film-based stories. Its title suggests a romantic comedy premise, while the broadcast format lets the performers carry the action through voices and carefully staged audio rather than images.
The result is a blend of theatrical storytelling and classic Hollywood entertainment, with the intimacy and immediacy of a live radio performance.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
