Sealtest Variety Theater
Douglas Fairbanks Jr. and Red Skelton
by
Sealtest Variety Theater is a radio variety program built around comedy and entertainment. This recording features Douglas Fairbanks Jr. and Red Skelton, bringing together two performers associated with very different screen and stage styles.
Variety radio offers a mix of spoken entertainment and performance rather than a single continuous story. The appeal lies in hearing familiar performers work in the intimate, imaginative setting of radio, where voices and comic timing carry the show.
With its blend of comedy and guest appearances, the program provides a lively snapshot of postwar American radio entertainment. Red Skelton’s comic presence and Douglas Fairbanks Jr.’s appearance give this installment its distinctive pairing.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
