A Day in the Life of Dennis Day is a radio comedy centered on singer Dennis Day, playing a cheerful, youthful version of himself. The series follows Dennis’s everyday life and comic misadventures, with his mother, played by Bea Benaderet, often keeping a watchful eye on him.
Episodes combine situation comedy with musical performances, including songs by Day. The humor grows out of Dennis’s good-natured innocence and the complications that arise as he tries to manage ordinary responsibilities and relationships.
Warm and lighthearted, the program pairs domestic comedy with the easy charm of a popular singer performing on radio. This episode is titled “Dennis Writes a Society Column.”
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
