Macabre

The Midnight Horseman

English · Radio

Macabre is a horror anthology that brings eerie tales to life through radio drama. Each story uses actors, dialogue, sound effects, and music to create unsettling scenes for the listener, drawing on suspense and the uncanny rather than relying on visual spectacle.

The program’s dramatic format makes the sounds of a setting and the voices of its characters central to the experience. Its stories explore ominous situations and supernatural or mysterious threats, building tension through atmosphere and carefully staged audio. The episode title, “The Midnight Horseman,” suggests a tale shaped by nocturnal unease.

With its shadowy mood and theatrical presentation, Macabre offers a compact dose of classic radio horror, inviting listeners to imagine what lies just beyond the reach of ordinary explanation.
