Should OPA Be Remodeled?
by
American Forum of the Air presents a discussion of the question “Should OPA Be Remodeled?” The program centers on a public-affairs issue of the day, inviting listeners to hear arguments and perspectives brought into a radio forum.
Rather than a fictional drama, this is a spoken discussion program. Its appeal lies in following the reasoning, disagreements, and explanations offered around a specific question, with the broadcast format giving the subject room to be considered from more than one point of view.
For listeners interested in wartime public policy and contemporary debate, the episode offers a direct encounter with the issue of the Office of Price Administration and whether it should be changed. The result is a focused snapshot of public discussion, best heard as an exchange of ideas rather than a scripted story.
