All-Star Western Theater

Alias Mary Smithers

English · Western, Dramatic Readings

All-Star Western Theater presents Western stories in a radio drama format. The title evokes the genre’s familiar world of frontier communities, rugged landscapes, and people facing difficult choices, brought to life through spoken performance and sound.

Each installment offers a self-contained dramatic listening experience, with dialogue and audio effects helping establish its setting and action. This recording is identified as “Alias Mary Smithers,” a story title that suggests a focus on identity and concealment within a Western setting.

The appeal lies in hearing a Western tale unfold through voices and sound rather than narration alone, with the dramatic format giving the story an immediate, theatrical feel.

This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
