Fred Waring and His Pennsylvanians
Jingle Bells
by
Fred Waring and His Pennsylvanians brings the sound of a polished vocal and instrumental ensemble to radio. Led by bandleader Fred Waring, the group was known for its choral arrangements and popular music, blending singers and musicians in a distinctive ensemble style.
The program offers a musical listening experience centered on the Pennsylvanians’ performance. This recording is identified with “Jingle Bells,” a familiar seasonal song presented in the group’s radio repertoire.
Waring’s carefully arranged ensemble sound gives the music a bright, full-bodied character, with voices and instruments working together rather than a single performer carrying the program. It suits listeners looking for vintage broadcast music and a festive holiday selection.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
