Red Horse Ranch
Alabam and a Stranger Talked at the Dance
by
Set on a ranch in the American West, Red Horse Ranch is a radio drama built around life and encounters in a ranching community. The episode title, “Alabam and a Stranger Talked at the Dance,” points to a social gathering where conversation brings a ranch character together with an unfamiliar visitor.
The program offers a dramatic story in a Western setting, with the dance providing a backdrop for an encounter between its named characters. Its appeal lies in the blend of ranch life and human interaction, as a meeting in a communal setting opens the way for a focused episode of radio storytelling.
