Sammy Kaye Sunday Serenade
by
Sammy Kaye Sunday Serenade is a radio program associated with bandleader Sammy Kaye. Its musical focus offers listeners a chance to hear the polished, easygoing sound of a popular dance orchestra in a Sunday broadcast setting.
The program centers on music rather than a narrated story, with Sammy Kaye’s orchestra providing the main attraction. The title and date identify a specific broadcast, while the listening experience is rooted in the warm, accessible style of mid-century popular music.
For listeners drawn to vintage big-band sounds and the atmosphere of a radio orchestra performance, Sunday Serenade offers a relaxed musical interlude led by one of the era’s recognizable bandleaders.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
