All Star Parade of Bands is a radio music program centered on big-band performances. This recording is identified with Ray Anthony, the trumpeter and bandleader whose orchestra brought a polished, energetic sound to postwar popular music.
Listeners can expect an ensemble-focused broadcast built around the appeal of the band: brass and reeds, a steady rhythm section, and the distinctive character of a featured orchestra. The program offers a snapshot of the big-band style in a radio setting, with Ray Anthony’s name pointing to the musical personality at its center.
The experience is lively and direct, suited to listeners who enjoy classic dance-band sounds and the bright, arranged textures of mid-century popular music.
