One Night Stand
Buddy Rich at Hollywood Palladium
par
One Night Stand presents a live big-band performance by Buddy Rich at the Hollywood Palladium. The recording offers a chance to hear Rich in a concert setting, with the focus on the music and the energy of a dance-hall audience.
Rather than a narrated story, this is a radio broadcast built around a featured band performance. Buddy Rich’s drumming and the ensemble’s sound are at the center, giving listeners a snapshot of the swing-era big-band experience in a prominent Los Angeles ballroom.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
