After Turkey - The Bill is a weak episode in the series, focusing on Joe Bowers, a recent graduate from a reform school, who takes his old sweetheart, Lottie Newcomb, out for Thanksgiving dinner. As Joe suspects Lottie's affections have shifted to his cousin Ferd, he faces an embarrassing situation when he discovers his wallet is empty. This leads to a series of events where a youthful bandit in a bright blue coat commits a robbery, and Casey and Ann are assigned to the case.
The story unfolds with various twists, including a frame-up involving Joe and Ferd, and culminates in a happy ending where Lottie and Ferd will be together. Despite its weak storyline, the superb cast and character interplay make it an entertaining listen.
