Walk Softly, Peter Troy - Single Episodes

(5 stars; 2 reviews)

Walk Softly, Peter Troy is a detective drama that aired on Springbok Radio from December 10, 1963, to February 21, 1964. Produced in the Durban Studios of Herrick Merril Productions, the series featured performances by Tom Meehan, John Simpson, and Merle Wayne.

The show was sponsored by Irving & Johnson, who also sponsored the Gunsmoke series that Walk Softly, Peter Troy replaced. A sequel to this series was later broadcast on the English Radio Service from May 19, 1964, to November 28, 1964. Interestingly, this was the first series on the English Service that came from an independent production house, rather than being produced by the SABC.

This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.

Excellent

I enjoy the episodes. From the mid 60s, so the episodes are a little more modern than usual. There are a couple of duplicates, but the sound quality is very good.
