The Time Traders
Andre Norton
Read by R. J. Davis
If it is possible to conquer space, then perhaps it is also possible to conquer time. At least that was the theory American scientists were exploring in an effort to explain the new sources of knowledge the Russians possessed. Perhaps Russian scientists had discovered how to transport themselves back in time in order to learn long-forgotten secrets of the past. (7 hr 3 min)

The gentleman was hard to understand at first but I came to enjoy his accent made me want to read the other books in the series or listen to them anyway
Enjoyable Adventure

I think that the author did a great job of mixing real and unreal. The fear of the cold war is very clear. I felt that she put into words instability and fear of the "West" against the Soviet Union. A pleasant romp through time and each new adventure.
Good reader, Bad recording, listen to version 2
Seven Archers
This is an excellent story with a very good reader, but the recording quality is so bad that I couldn't listen to it. Do yourself a favour and listen to the version read by Mark Nelson
Well recorded, but slow paced.

It's one of those science fiction works which would have been revolutionary at the time, but its techniques (using real archaeology to inform then arrative)are now widely used.
Great book, unfortunately poor quality recording and difficult accent. I appreciate the effort of volunteer readers but this was too hard to listen too. could have been better with better quality sound.
