The story follows an English book publisher who is approached by a mysterious woman at a book fair behind the Iron Curtain. She presents him with a bulky manuscript and asks him to fulfill a promise to publish the memoirs of a Soviet scientist.

Loved this. Excellent story, great acting, but boy, Tom Baker shines out like a beacon. What a phenomenal actor he is. He just has that 'X factor' that cannot be taught or bought. The British Intelligence Services' subservience to the USA spooks was also interesting and a sad reflection of how our world has operated since WW2. However, it's just a story, quite a good one, and well worth a listen. Thanks for the download.
