Blood and Ice is a captivating tale of the creation of Frankenstein, written by Liz Lochhead. This adaptation features a talented cast including Gerda Stevenson as Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, Stephen Boxer as Percy Bysshe Shelley, Jack Klaff as Lord Byron, Stella Gonet as Claire Clairmont, Tilly Vosburgh as Elise, and Peter Kelly as The Creature. The music is composed and played by Robert Pettigrew, with direction by Marilyn Imrie.

Set in 1816, the story unfolds as Mary Wollstonecraft elopes with her lover Percy Shelley to the shores of Lake Geneva. There, they move into a villa close to Lord Byron and, for amusement, turn their hands to writing ghostly tales.
