Michael Frayn Copenhagen

(4.9 stars; 7 reviews)

Copenhagen is an adaptation of Michael Frayn's award-winning play, directed by Emma Harding. The drama features a stellar cast including Benedict Cumberbatch, Greta Scacchi, and Simon Russell Beale, who portray the complex relationship between physicists Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg during their controversial meeting in 1941.

Set in Nazi-occupied Denmark, the play explores the tensions between two old friends now on opposing sides of the war. As they confront their past and the choices that led them to this moment, the narrative delves into the uncertainties of human memory and motivation.

one of the best radio plays I have listened to. Don't be alarmed by the physics, it's the morality that shines through, along with the ambiguity of human interaction.

Spectacular!

Came here as a Benedict fan and what a treat this was! Superb! This is how audio plays should be directed and performed. So glad I came across this, will be returning many times over - most certainly! :)
