05 Noël Coward South Sea Bubble

(4.4 stars; 7 reviews)

In the usually sleepy little South Sea island of Samolo, passions run high when it's proposed to build a public convenience. However, quite another sort of passion rages in the rugged breast of young Hall Alani whenever he sees the lovely Lady Sandra, the Governor's wife. Noël Coward cleverly resolves all in this witty but affectionate satire on the British rulers and the native ruled.

Produced and directed by David Johnston, the cast includes Hugh Burden, Nigel Greaves, Michael Denison, Moira Lister, Bryan Pringle, Leonard Fenton, Lockwood West, Margaretta Scott, Patrick Barr, Grizelda Hervey, and Tony Osoba.

This program was first broadcast on August 2, 1980, and recorded on July 16, 1980.

This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.

One big problem with these programs from SANWAL

Please break these down to manageable, 30 minute segments. many of these programs are also quite slow and boring.

Slow and Boring?
