Thomas Mc Laughlin Quartet

The future of the New Ireland String Quartet seems fragile. Elizabeth, the first violin, is still grappling with the death of Aisling, the quartet's co-founder. Rachel, the latest addition, struggles to meet Elizabeth's standards while dealing with a secret drinking problem. Claire, on viola, feels guilty for avoiding her husband's increasing dementia, and Amy, on cello, seeks distraction through casual encounters while on tour.

When a volcanic ash fall grounds flights, the quartet must travel from Istanbul to Dublin by train, forcing the four women into close quarters for an extended period. As personal and musical conflicts arise, the question remains: will they make it to their concert in Dublin on time, or will they fall apart before the journey ends?
