As the threat of the First World War looms, Hans is finally compelled to confront the life he has been avoiding.

This adaptation features a talented cast, including Paul Scofield as the voice of Thomas Mann and Robert Whitelock as Hans Castorp, among others. The production is enriched by music composed by Colin Sell and directed by Alison Hindell.
