Going To Ground
par Simon Passmore
Set in 1940, during a time when England was on full alert for a German invasion, "Going To Ground" tells the gripping story of a secret resistance unit. As church bells sound the alarm, this unit springs into action, fully aware that they may never see their families again.
This wartime drama highlights the exploits of the Auxiliary Units, a covert group trained to disrupt the invading forces. Operating in total secrecy, these patrols of 4 to 8 men were equipped with guerrilla weapons and tasked with sabotage and intelligence gathering. Their existence remained largely unknown until the 1990s, and their life expectancy was officially calculated at just 14 days.
